Brian Graham

About the Artist

Brian has been doing woodburning on his carvings and pyrography by ityself for about 10 years. He has just recently started teaching pyrography. He is a past president of the Outaousis Wood Carvers Club in Ottawa, Canada, which has a membership of about 180. They put on the Canada's Capital Carving Competition in November of each year in Ottawa at which they have a separate Pyrography Competition. Sue Walters attended their show this year from Australia and won the competition in the advanced or open division. She also gave a course to the pyrography group in January, 2002. Linda Eaves also gave a course to the group and Brian has adopted her style in much of his recent work. The rabbit and the squirrel are original woodburnings.
