Roger
was born in Utah. He spent his younger years working for a big game
outfitter in Idaho and as a river guide on the Salmon River. He has
always been an avid hunter and angler. After spending the last forty
years in the construction trade working on jobs from South Dakota to
Mexico he retired to Las Vegas. He has a small shop set up in his garage
where he makes garden footbridges.
His wife purchased a wood burning pen to sign her projects and he started playing around with it and discovered what it could do. He uses birch plywood for all his projects and loves the interaction between the burnt image and the grain of the wood. He spends a lot of time going through the birch plywood at the local lumber dealer looking for the "good stuff". |
