About
the Artist
|
|
Born
In Venezuela, Ramon has lived in Holland, Spain and the United States
where he currently resides. His background and experience include studying
at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and at the Broward Community
College in Davie, Florida. During his artistic evolution he has assisted
professional artists in the development of their art in Venezuela, New
York City, and Ft. Lauderdale Florida. His work primarily involves the
use of fire as a drawing tool to create wooden wall sculptures. This
is commonly known as Pyrographic Art, however, he refers to his work
as "Fire Drawing". To visually enhance his creations, he often adds
various industrial elements and found objects such as chains, nails,
bolts, pipes, etc... He wants to create a new style of artwork that
will inspire a new generation of artists. The main purpose of his work
is to bring out the hidden emotions of the subconscious mind, in other
words, to make your own sensitivity be the true meaning of the piece.
As noted on his resume, he has participated in numerous exhibitions
across South Florida. These shows include prestigious galleries and
nontraditional exhibition spaces. He has executed a number of commissioned
projects for private art collectors, and he is always looking for new
places to showcase his work.
