Alan Prosser

About the Artist

Alan, who lives in South Lancashire, has been using Janik items for pyrography, "the quality of which cannot be beaten", for over 20 years. He has both solid point and hot wire machines and enjoys exploiting the different characteristics of both. Most of his work now is in the form of turned 'pyrograved' plates celebrating a wide variety of subjects and events. Alan is a qualified teacher of Creative Design (BEd DPSE (Ed Tech)) training at Loughborough. He has had positions of Head of Creative Design Faculty, Head of Learning Centre and Head of Year at Secondary level. Having taken early retirement he is happy to provide full day, half day or evening presentations and practical tuition on pyrography to individuals or groups.
